ABOUT THE PROJECT
Originally built in 1923 and 1932, this industrial complex in the Bronx has served many purposes—from a diaper factory to an ice cream facility. Today, it houses a commercial self-storage and a charter school. M+S was brought in to design two phased repair packages, beginning with masonry and concrete restoration.

Once the structural repairs are complete, the next step involves cladding the buildings in metal panels that reflect the Prime Storage brand identity. M+S is currently collaborating with the contractor to begin the work and looks forward to seeing how this adaptive reuse project blends old textures with new design elements.
